Back from Hills

Back from a nice trip visiting friends and family at Okaboji IA and in SoDak.  Climbing Harney Peak in the Black Hills the highlight of the trip. I played a little poker(3-15 spread) in Deadwood and some NL at a new casino outside of Sioux Falls.  
Age must be destroying my olfactory senses, on the interstate I told my wife I could smell starbucks coffee; she said it was a dead skunk.  I'm not sure whether this is a blessing or a curse.

I'm off  to the Black Hills with stops in Okaboji and Sioux Falls to see old friends and Family.  So posts may be few.  The child bride and I are going to climb Harney Peak (it may take me 5 hrs) she can do it in under two.
Here's the Song of the day ( I promise something high brow later on). R.I.P.  Farny who used to sing this at "The First Edition" and was also poker player and road gambler extraordinare.

 I’ve been reading several blogs for a few years now and thought it was time to try my hand it.  I don’t know why anyone would be interested in my thoughts , but lets face it arrogance and hubris are two of my strong suits.  The blog will be going out to a couple hundred of my contacts.  I will email when I make a new post.  If you do not wish to receive those updates let me know and I won’t spam you.

                That said I will try to keep this non confrontational and innocuous mainly just boring snippets of my life observations and thoughts.  However, at times living in a politically charged world I at times may let loose.  Too those of you on the left who disagree with me AND  too those on the right who disagree with me, please know that I respect your opinions and realize we all want what is best for the future and future generations we all have different paradigms.   Labels like “uniformed , stupid racist, homophobe, cake eater and kool aid drinker “ don’t do anything to address serious issues,   the comment section is there for you and please use it, I’ll know someone is reading this.  You can disagree with me anon so feel free.

                Some of the blogs I currently read a listed on the right ( or will be) check them out.  I  am doing this rather than facebook because that in a way seems too public.  That said please feel free to recommend this blog to others.

               This is a learning experience for my  but to keep it interesting I'll try to post a song or photo of the day, and  a movie quote you guess the movie.
